School Care Team

Monarch Mental Health is in partnership with School Care Team, a local nonprofit organization. School Care Team was formed in response to the understanding of the negative correlation between student stress and success, particularly in Indiana, where youth face high levels of stress, anxiety, and depression that can interfere with development and learning. Even before the COVID pandemic, 24.2% of Indiana youth experienced two or more Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), nearly 2% more than the national average. This means that almost ¼ of students in Indiana classrooms have decreased learning potential due to stress and trauma.

Together, we feel we can support those who are in the mental health community and provide resources to individuals who battle with mental health. Through our partnership, especially through Monarch’s art peer support group, we feel that individuals will feel safe in an environment like Chad’s house. Our mission is to include anyone in the community, especially those who battle with mental health. We want to provide a safe environment/location, friendly, supportive, creative group as a way for anyone to feel they have a sense of community.

Monarch and School Care Team are thankful for the opportunity to partner with The Carriage House and Chad’s House. We are excited to see how this partnership can make an impact in our community.
